Origins of Psyllium Husk
Psyllium is a seed which is extracted from Plantago ovata, a plant that belongs to the Plantaginaceae family. The Psyllium Husk is a fibre found in the seed of the plant. The plant itself is native to Asia, the Mediterranean and North Africa, requiring large amounts of sunlight and well-drained, moist soil. The Plantago ovata is a shrub-like perennial plant with narrow green leaves and spikes of small flowers which grow into seedpods where the Psyllium Husk is extracted.
Psyllium husk is high in both soluble and insoluble dietary fibre which helps to bulk up the gut contents. The Husk may also be used in gluten-free bread to make the end product less crumbly.
Our Psyllium Husk Powder
Our Psyllium Husk powder is sold in three quantities to suit both your nutritional needs and purchasing requirements.
We recommend adding 500mg of our powder to a smoothie for a nutritional boost, up to a maximum of four times per day.
Please note- be aware that Psyllium Husk is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs lots of moisture.
Please also be aware that this product does not include a scoop and this supplement requires the use of scales which are able to measure milligrams.

Shipping is via Royal Mail 1st Class We dispatch orders on weekdays up to 5 pm. Royal mail quote delivery times 1-2 days for 1st class and 2-3 days for 2nd class. Delays can happen, If delivery takes more than 5 working days for a UK order - please contact us immediately. For Europe, orders can take 10-14 Days.
