What do our Multivitamins contain?

Water-Soluble Vitamins:

The water-soluble vitamins include vitamin C, and all of the B vitamins: thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6), biotin (B7), folate (B9) and vitamin B12. They’re found in leafy greens, fish, legumes, and meats. 

Vitamin C can be found in peppers, broccoli, citrus fruits, strawberries, tomatoes and green leafy vegetables.

Fat-Soluble Vitamins:

Vitamins A, D, and E are known as the fat-soluble vitamins, because they are absorbed in a way similar to that of fats.

Vitamin A only occurs only in foods of animal origin (liver, butter, milk and eggs) However, carotenoids such as β-carotene can be converted to vitamin A in our bodies.

Vitamin D also occurs in animal products (liver, butter, fatty fish, eggs).

Vitamin E can be found in vegetable oils, nuts, seeds and wholegrains.

Minerals:

Mineral salts are micronutrients responsible for structural functions of the skeleton, different regulatory functions, blood clotting, oxygen transport, and enzyme activity. Minerals needed in smaller amounts are known as trace elements - these include Iron, Zinc, Copper, Selenium, and Iodine.

What do they do?

Immune function: 

Vitamins A, D, C, B6, and B12, together with Copper, Iron, and Folic acid, support the normal functioning of the immune system.

Bones and Teeth:

Vitamin D supports the maintenance of normal bones and teeth. It also contributes to normal blood calcium levels, and plays a role in the absorption of Calcium.

Muscles:

Vitamin D supports normal muscle function.

Healthy Skin and Hair:

Biotin, Iodine, and Vitamins B2 and B3 support the maintenance of normal skin. Biotin along with Selenium and Zinc, also supports the maintenance of normal hair. Copper contributes to normal skin and hair pigmentation as well.

Eyes: 

Vitamin A and Vitamin B2 both contribute to the maintenance of normal vision.

Mental health and cognitive function:

Vitamin B5 contributes to normal mental performance, while Iron, Iodine, and Zinc support normal cognitive function. Folic acid and Vitamin B1 also play a role in normal psychological function.

Tiredness and fatigue:

Vitamins C, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, along with Iron and Folic acid, contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

This product is suitable for vegetarians but not for vegans.
