Origins of Aloe Vera

The Aloe Vera plant is popular in many botanical gardens, with increasing prevalence within the domestic household. The first written report that includes this plant originates from 6,000 years ago in Egypt. The plant was regarded as containing 'blood' which provided secrets to beauty, health and immortality. The Aloe Vera plant is a succulent and belongs to the 'lily' family. There are over 500 species of aloe, spread throughout Africa, the Middle East and several islands in the Indian Ocean.

Benefits of Aloe Vera

The availability of Aloe Vera has increased in recent years, particularly as it contributes to many health properties. These attributes help to improve and maintain blood glucose levels. When blood glucose levels are maintained, there is a reduction in food cravings. The Aloe plant also increases immunity by contributing to the natural defences against microorganisms, including the epithelial layer of the skin (a layer of skin made from particular cells) to prevent the entrance of unwanted microorganisms. There is also evidence to suggest that Aloe Vera regulates the female menstrual cycle and contains antioxidant properties, preventing oxidative damage to cells.

Our Aloe Vera tablets

The Aloe Vera in our tablets is extracted from the Aloe barbadensis miller plant. To ensure high quality in each 9mm tablet, the Aloe Vera is measured via analysis of the Aloverose molecule, a substance unique to the Aloe plant. The higher the measured content of Aloverose, the higher the active health compounds in the extract.

We advise the consumption of two tablets, up to four times a day due to the botanical nature of the Aloe Vera plant. The required dose can vary from person to person so you may wish to seek the advice of a herbalist or health practitioner.

Please note - we recommend that both the 500 and 1,000 tablet options are more suitable for use by more than one person. This is to ensure that you are receiving full use of the product before its expiry date. For one person's use, we recommend the 120 or 240 tablet options.
