What is Vitamin B12?
Vitamin B12, otherwise known as Cobalamin, is a water-soluble vitamin that is stored in the liver within the body. Vitamin B12 can only be absorbed if the intrinsic factor (a protein produced in the stomach) is present. Without this factor, Vitamin B12 passes through the intestine and is excreted. The vitamin was founded in the early 20th century.
Vitamin B12 is available in four main forms called Hydroxylcobalamin, Methylcobalamin, Cyanocobalamin, and Adenosylcobalamin. This tablet contains the Cyanocobalamin form of vitamin B12. Once consumed, this form of Vitamin B12 is converted into either Methylcobalamin or Adenosylcobalamin, the two active forms of Vitamin B12 within the human body. Cyanocobalamin is produced from natural sources via the fermentation of Pseudomonas denitrificans.
Benefits of Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 is primarily known for its contributions to normal energy-yielding metabolism, reducing feelings of tiredness and fatigue. This vitamin also supports the normal formation of red blood cells which carry oxygen around the body. In doing so, Vitamin B12 supports the normal functioning of our immune system. Additionally, Vitamin B12 also contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, the normal metabolism of homocysteine (an amino acid), normal psychological function and has a role in the process of cell division.
Our Vitamin B12 tablets
At Oxford Vitality, we produce two strengths of Vitamin B12 to suit your purchasing requirements; 1,000µg (1mg) and 5,000µg (5mg). Both tablet concentrations are 6mm in size, a very manageable size to swallow. We also offer four strengths to allow flexibility when purchasing.
Please note - we recommend that both the 500 and 1,000 tablet options are more suitable for use by more than one person. This is to ensure that you are receiving full use of the product before its expiry date. For one person's use, we recommend the 120 or 240 tablet options.
Warning regarding 5000 μg variant: This is a High Potency product and should be taken if you are known to be lacking in vitamin B12. We do not recommend taking this product for more than 90 days. After 90 days we recommend our 1000μg product.

Shipping is via Royal Mail 1st Class We dispatch orders on weekdays up to 5 pm. Royal mail quote delivery times 1-2 days for 1st class and 2-3 days for 2nd class. Delays can happen, If delivery takes more than 5 working days for a UK order - please contact us immediately. For Europe, orders can take 10-14 Days.
